Advice on completing CPD requirements
-
You should
firstly read the new 2007-2009 CPD guidelines booklet thoroughly, maybe even
twice.
-
Once you have read them in full,
refer to the accompanying Help
Sheet which answers the most frequently asked
questions.
-
If you are
still unsure of anything in relation to your CPD requirements
you may find the answer on our FAQs CPD
Frequently Asked Questions
or you can contact us
with any queries or indeed with any comments you may have in relation to the
programme (full contact details are on page 13 of the new
2007-2009 Guidelines booklet) or go to the Contact
Us page of this website.
-
Alternatively
if you are unsure as to whether an event will count for CPD you can complete the attached
'Formal CPD Request Form' giving full details of the event in
question and enclosing any additional information i.e.
presentation slides, course content etc. and return it to us by
fax of email Formal
CPD Request Form
-
Then we
suggest you try to plan how you are going to achieve your CPD.
Perhaps break the year(s) down into weeks or months or quarters,
and plan to complete a realistic amount of formal and/or
informal CPD activity during each period.
-
Don't
leave it all until the last minute! You are required to complete
a minimum of 15 hours CPD each year, but you should aim to
complete an average of 20 hours per annum in order to
meet your overall requirement of 60 hours by the end of the
three-year cycle.
